How do I place an order?

Due to the custom nature of our business, personal contact should be made via the telephone or equivalent. Small orders and re-orders can use our online order form. What type of design should I use?

Your design options are virtually limitless. Give us a rough Idea of the basics you want to see on your card/tag (background picture of your building, favorite piece of apparatus, etc.) and let us do the rest. We supply two proofs which are included in the set up charge. You can issue all necessary changes to the artwork before final approval to ensure you are completely satisfied with the design before we start the production run.

How do I send the employee pictures?

We accept JPEG and TIFF format via e mail, or snail mail us your floppy, zip or CD with the pictures on them (please use the employee last name and first initial as the pictures file name). We can also scan your hard copy pictures for a nominal fee.
We have produced photos at the "good, better and best" settings on digital cameras, what ever is easier to get the pictures to us we can use. The middle setting on most cameras produce fine quality on ID cards and do not take too long to upload for customers with dial up connections.
(TIP: When taking pictures for ID cards, use a light blue background as it absorbs the flash and doesn't reflect off your subject. Strive for a good head and shoulders shot and try to stay 3 - 5 feet away).

How big are the cards and what are they made of ?

We use photo quality PVC/Polyester plastic card stock for maximum flex and durability in the toughest environments. Cards are available in three sizes (CR80 85x54mm/CR90 92 x 60mm, and CR100 98 x 68mm) in a variety of colors including metallic and neon.

How long will my order take ?

After we receive final approval on the artwork from you, orders are shipped in 3 - 5 days. (Rush orders upon request at our discretion). We will snail mail or email (PDF format) an artwork approval form which must be signed and returned to us before we can begin the production run. The artwork approval is necessary to ensure you receive the cards you expected with no surprises. Re-orders are shipped within 24 hours.

What if I don't like the cards ?

We strive to produce a product customers will be pleased with. Our customers can request a sample card (generic printing) before ordering to get a feel for the product we offer.
Your one time set up fee provides two proofs (and numerous email beta samples) that will give you the opportunity to make any necessary changes before the production run. Actual plastic card proofs are available for a nominal fee upon request.

What is your return policy ?

Due to the custom nature of our business, we cannot accept returns on custom orders. We will replace defective products which is a direct result of our printing method or card manufacturing process. Our artwork approval form and numerous emailed beta samples will offer the customer every opportunity to make the changes on your design before the production run.
Your success is our success in the card issuance process and we strive for satisfied customers to help our business grow!

Is our employee information safe ?

Security of our customers information is first and foremost. We make sure customer information is safe and not shared with others. We NEVER give our customer product as samples. Over run and defective cards are destroyed and customer information is backed up on a stand alone computer to keep your information safe and sound. Our business is built on secure identification solutions.

How do I pay ?

Internet orders require 50% down and balance at time of shipment. Company, Personal Checks or  Money Orders are accepted (Company and personal check may require a hold to clear our bank). Down payments must be made before we can start the project. We will provide you with an accurate estimate including shipping before we start the order.

Are fire accountability tags flame proof ?

Positively, Absolutly NOT! We use plastic PVC and composite card stock that is very durable but will melt in the the extremely high temperatures encountered in fire fighting. The idea of an accountability system is to tag in before you enter the burning structure. This will offer a quick roll call for your command post in the event of a missing firefighter. If your tag is on your gear in a hot zone, who will know you are missing if you get in trouble besides YOU! Nuff said!

Do you make fake or novelty ID cards?

FirstChoiceID DOES NOT produce fake ID cards in any way, shape or form. Our company has been built on security and safety of our customer information. We will check if a company exists and always make personal contact with the Chief of Police or Fire before printing and shipping official identification cards or tags to the authorized contact on file.
I repeat, we do not produce fake ID, so please don't ask!
